How Our Soap Is Made

Handcrafted With Time, Care & Purpose

There's something different about a bar of soap made by hand.

At OnGod Skin Care, handcrafted isn't simply a word we place on our packaging. It describes the process behind the products we create.

Our approach to soapmaking reflects more than 15 years of firsthand experience making handcrafted skincare.

Each OGSC bar begins with a purpose.
Whether we're creating Goat Milk Oatmeal for dry and sensitive skin, Rosemary Spinach for oily and blemish-prone skin, or Turmeric Orange Ginger for dull and uneven-looking skin, every formula begins by asking: What does this skin need?

From there, the soapmaking process begins.

Step 1: Choosing Our Ingredients

Each OGSC bar has its own ingredient identity.

Goat Milk + Oatmeal
Rosemary + Spinach
Turmeric + Orange + Ginger

These signature ingredients help distinguish each bar and connect it to the skin concern around which the formula was created.

Step 2: Preparing Each Batch

Handcrafted soap begins long before the finished bar reaches your shower.

Ingredients must be carefully prepared and measured according to the formula before the soapmaking process begins.

Small-batch production allows OGSC to remain connected to the process behind the products bearing our name.

Step 3: Making the Soap

Our prepared ingredients are brought together through the soapmaking process to create each distinctive OGSC formula.

This is where individual ingredients become something entirely different: a handcrafted bar of soap.

Variations in color or appearance can naturally occur with handcrafted products and botanical ingredients. Those subtle differences are part of the character of products made in smaller batches rather than manufactured solely for perfect visual uniformity.

Step 4: Cutting the Bars

Once the soap is ready, it is cut into individual bars.

Each bar is then prepared for the next important stage of the handcrafted soapmaking process.

Step 5: Giving Our Soap Time

Good handcrafted soap requires patience.

After cutting, our bars are given the appropriate time required by our soapmaking process before they are prepared for customers.

This isn't a step we rush simply to get products onto a shelf faster.
Time is part of the process.

Step 6: Inspecting & Preparing Your Soap

Before an OGSC bar is packaged for a customer, it should meet our expectations for the finished product.

Because our soap is handcrafted, minor differences between batches or individual bars may occur.

We consider that part of the authentic nature of small-batch soapmaking.

Step 7: From Our Family to Yours

The final step is sending the finished bar to you.

More than 15 years after OGSC's journey began in our founder's home, handcrafted soap remains at the center of what we're building.
